Welcome to Saddles and Smiles
Saddles & Smiles mission is to provide equine assisted learning experiences for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurological disorders, including providing education and support for the families of these children and young adults.
Saddles and Smiles is located in Davis, West Virginia. There is such a need for this service in our immediate area and in the Mid-Atlantic region. What is different about our program is that our services are free of charge to families and children.
With opportunities year round, kids have been coming to ride with us for many years. We have added multiple horse camps each year to help support Saddles & Smiles and provide many hours of learning and fun for kids and families. Each dollar we raise goes straight to the care of the horses in our herd, adaptive equipment for our riders, and support for families in our program.
How to Help
Each dollar donated goes directly to programs for the kids, adaptive riding equipment, hay, feed, veterinary care for the horses, and supportive programming for families.
Get the Word Out
Tell our story to those you know will help us find new friends, kids and families who can benefit from our services. Sharing our story helps to raise funds required to continue to operate and provide more opportunities.
Donate your Time
Each Summer we hold several horse camps for kids between the ages of 6 and 16. We always need volunteers during the week long camps. You can be a part of the magic that happens at horse camp!
Meet Hope
Hope is one of our newest clients! With Cerebreal Palsy, Hope has a very special need that we would like to help with. She needs a new wheelchair. The one she is in now is too small. Lets get behind Hope as a community, and provide her the equipment necessary for her to thrive!
